The Plainview City Council will gather for its June meeting on Monday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Plainview Public Library.
On the agenda as of Tuesday, June 3 – the creation of a new street improvement district, and to possibly pass a resolution for the district and to create a hearing.
Typically, street improvement districts include paving or repaving streets, which could alter the property taxes of those where the pavement is located.
Additionally, the Council will be asked to approve the sale of real estate at 222 E. Locust Avenue, approval of software for the Plainview HandiVan, discussion on the 2025-26 budget, and approval of:
Zoning Board members: Brian Bowman, Jason Halvorsen Wim de Boeck – 3 year terms
Manor Board members: Joan Alexander, 3 year term
HandiVan Board members: Lois Norris, 4 year term
The meeting will be open to the public.
