Council places Sales Tax renewal on ballot
At the August 12 meeting of the Wakefield City Council, the council, with information from at least two public comment meetings and primarily online survey results from 110 Wakefield Community members, agreed to add to the General Election ballot a question to voters to continue the 1% sales tax for the collection of funds toward economic development and infrastructure in the Wakefield Community through 2037.
