Manor Staff receives vaccine... Plainview Manor and Whispering Pines Assisted Living employees began receiving their COVID-19 vaccines last week with the help of Plainview Family Pharmacist Ashley Dendinger. The staff started receiving shots on Tuesday, Jan. 5 and were expected to finish up by the end of last week.

50th Anniversary: Muegge Donald and Martha (Throener) Muegge celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 11, 2021. They were united in marriage on January 11, 1971 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Plainview. In November of 1977, they had their only daughter (who despite a wonderful upbringing, has lacked punctuality in celebrating her parents amazing milestone.) Paula (Muegge) Folger and her family, Jason, Reed and Miles Folger, would appreciate any help honoring them with congratulations, and, if time, a card to celebrate 50 years. Ashburn earns 100th win... At last week’s wrestling tournament, Plainview Pirate Scout Ashburn earned his 100th win of his career for the Pirate wrestling team. “For a wrestler to gain 100 wins this fast into the Junior year is a great accomplishment,” said Coach Chad Schumacher. “Scout has been a terrific wrestler with great technique. He is constantly looking to improve himself and through others on the team. He is following the line of many great Plainview wrestlers through the years.”
