
Gerdes memorial tournament held
The Fourth Annual Brandon Gerdes Memorial Trap Shoot was held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 after being postponed due to the pandemic. The 72 shooters gathered again at the Northeast Nebraska Shooting Association for the competition. Brian Bowman and Kris Mann from the Plainview Fire Department brought a fire truck to the library to represent Fire Prevention Week. They did an excellent job explaining the content in each compartment of the fire truck and the content's use. The children were able to try on firemen coats and helmets. Bowman and Mann visited Story Hour in the morning and returned for Kindergarten, first, and second grade library in the afternoon.



Lady Pirates back on volleyball court

Kaintrel and Cherise Unger of Bennington, are new parents of twins: Zedekai Linx (left) and Laiklyn Elle (right), born September 3, 2020.
Zedekai Linx was born at 1:17 p.m weighed 6 lbs., 9 oz. and was 191/2 inches long. Laiklyn Elle was born at 1:19 p.m., weighed 5 lbs., 2 oz. and was 181/2 inches long.
Grandparents are Kent and Denise Friedrich of Norfolk, and Dave and Mary Unger of Norfolk and Sherry Unger and Richard Jurgens of Madison.
Great-grandparents are Dennis and Delores Hoffman and Ila Friedrich, all of Plainview.
