The Plainview Pony League baseball season came to an end on Saturday, July 15th in Neligh at the annual Quad-County baseball tournament.  

The first game of the tournament was on Thursday, July 13th against Crofton.  
The Pirates won this game by a score of 13-3.  The team had 12 hits led by Aiden Hamilton with three, Kohen Lingenfelter, Wyatt Schroth, Zach Frahm, and Colt Kromarek each with two, and Bastion Curtiss with one hit.  

The RBI leaders for the game were Hamilton with 4 and Lingenfelter, Schroth, and Kromarek with 2 each.  Jaeger Frahm and Zach Frahm each had 1 RBI.  Hunter Meyer and Adryck Stewart each had a walk in the game.  

Doing the pitching in the game was Wyatt Schroth, Kohen Lingenfelter, and Zach Frahm.  The team only allowed 5 hits to Crofton.  Schroth led the way with 5 strikeouts, while Lingenfelter had 2 and Frahm had 1.  
The next game was on Saturday, July 15th, and it didn’t go as well as Plainview was defeated by Hartington 11-0.  

The Pirates were only able to record 2 hits, one each by Adryck Stewart and Owen Dobler.  Colt Kromarek and Aiden Hamilton each had a walk.  Wyatt Schroth, Zach Frahm, and Colt Kromarek all pitched in the game with each recording a strikeout.
The final game on Saturday was against Creighton.  

The Bulldogs came out hot scoring 3 runs in the top of the first inning.  

The Pirates answered with a run in the bottom of the first to make the score 3-1.  Creighton scored two more in the 2nd inning to go up 5-1 then added two more runs in the 5th inning to take a 7-1 lead.  That’s when the Pirate offense finally got going.  

Some clutch Pirate hitting and a couple errors from Creighton allowed the Pirates to score 7 runs in the 5th inning and take an 8-7 lead.  Kohen Lingenfelter, Wyatt Schroth, Colt Kromarek and Guy Wortman all had doubles in the inning and Adryck Stewart added a single.  The Pirates got the first two men out before Creighton got two men on base with a base hit and a walk.  The next batter hit a triple to score those two runs and give the Bulldogs a 9-8 lead.  He later scored on a passed ball giving Creighton the lead 10-8.  

In the bottom of the inning, Plainview put the ball in play but couldn’t score any runs and the game ended with Creighton winning 10-8 and thus ending the season for Plainview.  
Pitching duties in this game were handled by Kohen Lingenfelter and Wyatt Schroth.  Lingenfelter struck out 7 Bulldogs and allowed 6 hits and Schroth struck out 3 and allowed 3 hits.

The team finished the season with an 8-8 record.  The season went as follows:
