Fundraiser For Peterson This Weekend At Fire Department

The Plainview Fire & Rescue and CHI Health-Plainview will be sponsoring a fundraiser benefit this Sunday, Aug. 27, for Zoee Peterson, daughter of Cody and Victoria Peterson of Plainview.

The fundraiser will be for a free will donation meal on Sunday, which will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., along with a silent auction, all at the Plainview Fire Hall. The meal will be walking tacos and dessert.

Zoee Peterson was born in September of 2021 with her twin brother, and was diagnosed by a Pediatric Neurologist with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and Angleman Syndrome shortly after her birth.

She was diagnosed with a stroke before birth, seizures and swelling and fluid on her right side ventricle. She also had surgery for a tethered spinal cord in 2023, and now continues home therapy session four to six times a week.
She is expected to have continued doctor appointments as well as the need for mobility aids and equipment.

CHI Health and the Plainview Fire & Rescue are holding the fundraiser to help the family with necessary medical expenses.

Cody Peterson is employed at CHI Health in Plainview in the Maintenance Department and also is member of Plainview Volunteer Fire & Rescue, and the couple has five children: Blakeleigh, Barrett, Vydaylya, Clyde and Zoee.
