Jacson King

The Plainview Pirates boys’ basketball team was represented by two seniors in the 2025 North Central Nebraska All-Star Boys Basketball game on Saturday, May 31 in O’Neill.

Seniors Karter Lingenfelter and Jacson King each earned the opportunity to play in the sixth-annual contest, although for the first time in their careers, they stood toe-to-toe on opposing teams.

For the all-star game, Lingenfelter was named a member of the Black Team, while King suited up for the White Team.

In typical all-star game fashion, the contest was a high-scoring affair that gave seniors of the area one last opportunity to enjoy the game in a competitive manner.

When the final buzzer sounded, it was King and the White Team that emerged victorious, with a final score of 98-97.

To add the cherry on top, King was named the game’s most valuable player, as he finished the night with 22 points and two rebounds with six three-pointers made.

Lingenfelter finished the matchup with two points and one rebound for the Black Team.
