Recognized as this year's "Eldest" Alumni was Gailyn Thomsen, Class of 1954 (right) and his wife, Barbara (Thieman) Thomsen, Class of 1955.

Plainview High School 37th Annual Alumni Reunion was held Saturday, June 7th with approximately 170 alumni and friends in attendance. The Class of 1975 was the honored class of 50 years. Alden Zuhlke, from the Class of 1975, gave a welcome and introduce his classmates in attendance.

Pastor Joan Holmes Alexander, also from the 1975 class gave the Invocation. Brook Curtiss, from the Class of 1999, was the emcee for the program.

The five year honored classes were introduced; Gailyn Thomsen from the Class of 1954 was the oldest alumni in attendance.

Harrison Thor, from the Class of 2025, thanked the Class of 1969 and Alumni for selecting him as their scholarship award winner. Written thank yous were received from Shayla Jacobsen, Jacson King and Weston Hoffman. A Pass the Hat collection was taken to support the three $500 scholarships that are given annually from the All Class Reunion Committee.

Corrine Jenkins Janovec, from the Class of 1968, President of the Committee gave an update on the 501c3.

Dr. Darron Arlt, Superintendent of Plainview Schools, from the Class of 1985, gave an update on the building situation. He also introduced the Hall of Fame Inductees. Those present included Dr. Lyle Joyce, Class of 1965; Jennifer Hoffman Wolfe, Class of 2004; Jamieson Alexander, Class of 2004 and Blake Mosel, Class of 2006.

The meal was catered by Bohemian One Stop and the Plainview Rainbow Assembly #34 assisted the committee on setup and waiting and serving the tables. Piano dinner music was provided by Bastion Curtiss and Landon Hergert.

The All Class Committee are: Brook Curtiss, Judy Wilson, Corrine Janovec, Diann Frahm, Joan Alexander, Dr. Arlt, and Denise Brozek.

The next reunion will be June 6, 2026.
