The Plainview Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) held its fall opener on Sunday evening in the Band Shell park.

This event was for the FCA senior high students and their families.

Peighton Arlt gave the welcome to the group and Addie Hodson opened the evening with prayer.

The Huddle shared a meal together. Tom Krause grilled hamburgers, and each family brought a side and dessert to share.

Josh Clark, the head basketball coach from Northeast College spoke, challenging the students to “play for an audience of One” on the field, on the court or cross country. He spoke of all the culture that is forced upon the students’ lives, but for them to seek the truth in Jesus.

He shared how basketball had been his identity until an injury, then he found Jesus.

Coach Clark referenced Romans 10:9-10, saying Jesus Christ is now his identity as a coach and in his everyday life.
