A “No Fly Zone” was in effect this past week at Plainview Public School’s annual Homecoming celebration and Spirit week activities.

This year’s Homecoming King and Queen were Hayven Stewart and Morgan Nincehelser. Stewart is the son of Roger and Lindsay Stewart and Nincehelser is the daughter of Blake and Bree Nincehelser.

The Pirates competed in contests with Elkhorn Valley’s Falcons (which provided this year’s theme) for the football game, and Summerland, Wausa, Crofton, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, and at Pender during the week.

The parade of the Homecoming court was held through downtown and past the Plainview Manor, with elementary students lining the streets along with members of the public.

Decker White, son of Derek and Whitney White

The Royalty from last year – Hannah Darnall, daughter of Rich and Nicole Clemans and Steve Darnall, and Karter Lingenfelter, son of Kevin and Kelly Lingenfelter, were present to turn over their crowns.

Tessa Weber and Kohen Lingenfelter emceed the event and announcement of the winners of the week activities, and staff Adam and Bernice Yilk were again this year’s sponsors.
