The Plainview Pirate band, under the direction of instructor Wynter Fulsaas, was chosen to perform at the Nebraska Music Educator’s Association’s All-State/Conference event on November 22, and had a local practice this weekend to prepare.
Pirate band members have been practicing “overtime” in mornings and weekends to perfect their performances.
On November 22, the band will be traveling to Lincoln for the NMEA conference and All-State event weekend, and is scheduled to perform on the University of Nebraska – Lincoln campus in the Westbrook Music Building at 10:45 a.m.
The band has been repairing six pieces for the performance of various difficulties, from as recent as a 2025 composition.
That performance is also open to the public.
