Four local youth recently participated in the Norfolk YMCA Spirit 3-on-3 Basketball League.
According to the YMCA website, the “Spirit Basketball league promotes healthy team competition and good sportsmanship. It is a semi-competitive league, featuring half court games officiated by qualified referees.”
League games took place every Monday night in November with the team playing two games per night.
The team included Bristal Stelling of Osmond and Bentley Dougherty, Swayzey Alexander, and Shay Miller, all of Plainview.
The girls finished the league with a record of 5 wins and 3 losses as follows:
November 3rd – Lost to BeeDawgs (Bloomfield/Creigton), defeated Wisner
November 10th – Defeated O’Neill, lost to Battle Creek (sudden death OT)
November 17th – Defeated Guardian Angels Central Catholic, defeated Wisner
November 24th – Lost to BeeDawgs, defeated O’Neill
