School Construction

The retaining wall at the south part of the Plainview High School campus
finally came down as part of a renovation project approved by the Board
of Education in the past months. The entire retaining wall, the steps
leading to the Junior High building, and all the bricks in between were
removed as part of the project to replace them. Additionally, the lights
at the football field have been moved, and replaced, and new pads for
high jump, the pole vault approach, and a host of other upgrades are
happening as well. Funding from the school additional levy "building
fund" were used to complete the more than half-million in projects this
year.
