Hodson Hitters win league tourney...

The 2021 Northeast Nebraska Women’s Slow Pitch League Championship came to Plainview’s West-Hodson Hitters this year, by way of some special efforts from some local women. The tournament was held on July 17 and included Pierce, Randolph, Bloomfield and Plainview. The ladies played May through July, finishing as the top-rated team for the season, and the team included, back row (l to r): Katlyn Krueger, Julie Krause, Katie Wabs, Nicole White and Ashlee Masat; and front row: Kari Ekberg, Brittany Smith, Brittani White, Jen Hodson and Abby Krueger. Not pictured, Sonya Legate and Randi Rix. The team’s record was 10-2 in the team field of Osmond, Pierce, Randolph, Wausa and Bloomfield.
