The Plainview FCCLA Chapter held their annual kick-off on August 19th at 6:30 p.m. with this year’s theme “Build Your Future with FCCLA.”
Jacobsen presented members with information about FCCLA. Members were provided a calendar of events for the school year explaining conferences, local events, competitive opportunities, and information about dues. Membership Incentives were explained: all members will receive a Pirate Cinch Bag, those who join by Aug. 31 will have a supper/movie night out, the class with the most members will receive a pizza party during lunch, the first new member to join will receive a free chapter t-shirt, and for each new member a current member recruits their name is put into a drawing for free a chapter t-shirt. Fundraising opportunities were also discussed.
