At the end of an almost exactly 20-year run, the Board of Directors for Plainview Pride, Inc., voted “in lieu of meeting” to wind-down the charitable organization started in 2001 from a single family donation to the community.

In the end, as the funds dwindled, and no community support was added to the original donation – the organization simply ran out of funds. Board members chipped in some funds from time to time to keep the corporation active, but it’s main goal to “see the community of Plainview, Nebraska flourish through promotion of charitable, religious, educational, scientific and literary activities” effectively came to an end with a lack of other major donations to keep the fund alive.
