The Plainview Board of Education heard that the Pirate track renovation had been completed in the last few weeks with lines being painted on the main track as the final step, just in time for the 2022 track season, which started with practices this week. A new high jump area, new lanes for pole vault, long jump and triple jump, and a complete resurfacing of the track itself were some of the main upgrades.
