Memorial Services for Dickie Lee Clemans, 77, of Plainview will take place at Northern Heights Baptist Church in Norfolk, on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. 

There will be a memorial gathering at Mary's Restaurant Backroom, in Plainview on Friday, April 1 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with ceremonies led by the Plainview Legion and Pastor Joan Alexander. Dickie Lee Clemans was born on April 7, 1944 at Plainview General Hospital, Plainview, to Albert Ozzie Clemans and Meridith Ruth Born, and he passed away at his home in Plainivew on March 23, 2022 at the age of 77. Clemans attended school in Plainview and graduated from Brunswick High School.  He was drafted into the United States Armed Forces and began his service in May of 1965 until May of 1967.   He married Jackie Classen and was blessed to raise three children, Corolla (Lauck), Kristine (Wright), and Richard Clemans. He worked with his dad at Alby's Electric serving the community of Plainview and surrounding towns throughout his entire life, which he truly loved.  Clemans was a member of the Northern Heights Baptist Church in Norfolk. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Meridith.   Dick Clemans is survived by his daughters: Corolla Lauck and fiancée Jeff Harnack of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Kristine (Michael) Wright of Plainview; and son, Richard (Nicole) Clemans of Plainview, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  In lieu of flowers, the family has created a fund at Midwest Bank in Plainview for a memorial scholarship in honor of Dick and Albert Clemans. Ashburn Funeral Home in Plainview is in charge of arrangements.
