The “Remembering the Fallen” traveling photo memorial

The “Remembering the Fallen” traveling photo memorial will be hosted at the Rex Theatre in Orchard this week – July 26-July 31.

The display will be open to the public – with no admission charge - July 26 - July 28 from 1 to 5 p.m.; Friday, July 29, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, July 30, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday, July 31 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The display has been described as: “A very emotional memorial, Remembering Our Fallen, is a stark reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by Nebraskans killed in The War on Terror (Post-9/11/2001) while wearing our country’s uniform in a war zone. The photo memorial, which includes military and personal photos of each of Nebraska’s Fallen …”

Some area tributes include: LCDR Thomas E. Blake, Jr., Spencer; CPL Josiah W. Hollopeter, Valentine; SSG Kenneth E. Locker, Jr., Burwell; SGT Jacob S. Schmuecker, Atkinson; and Sgt Adam J. Bosley, Lynch.

The theatre is located at 225 Windom Street in Orchard, and the display is open to the public with no admission.

This memorial and 14 other state memorials representing 60% of the United States’ Fallen since 9/11/01, have been created by Patriotic Productions, a non-profit organization headquartered in Omaha.
