The Plainview Pirate track and field squad packed its bags and travelled to Burwell on Friday, April 17 to compete in their lone invite of the week, the 2026 Burwell Longhorn Invitational.
At the large invite, which featured 12 other schools, the Pirates battled through tough weather and came home with some hardware.
When all was said and done, both Plainview squads found spots in the top five of team standings, as the boys placed fifth and the girls walked away with the championship plaque.
