Students and faculty at Plainview Elementary celebrated a year of practice with a performance at the spring concert on the evening of May 5th.
The program was split into two age groups with the smaller kids taking the stage first for a range of performances with props and lights and song. The second group of older elementary youth also performed numbers showcasing a variety of skill and song.
In addition to the choir performances, the fifth and sixth grade bands played two numbers each, and the junior high also performed.
The choirs and bands were under the direction of instructors Brittani Beegle and Wynter Fulsaas.
In addition to the evening, the Plainview art department had the hallways and walls lined with artwork done by the youth throughout the year. Pieces of color, cutting, gluing, dioramas, drawing, sketching, shading and many other skills learned were displayed. The art department is under the direction of instructor Manndi Silhacek.
