Eight wrestlers in Plainview Public Schools’ junior wrestling program will be attending the NEUSA State wrestling tournament this weekend in Grand Island. Those traveling to represent their team are, back row (l to r): Beau Johnson, Adryck Stewart, Tate Frahm, Cinch Fobes and Ashlynn Forbes; and front row (l to r): Guy Wortman, Colson Forbes and Zane Kromarek. The event will be held at the Heartland Event Center in Grand Island at 700 E Stolley Park Road. Wrestlers from Pre-K to 8th grade will be competing against teams from at least 218 other communities and teams spread across the state. Brackets and results can be found on Trackwrestling.com under NEUSA State 2022 Pk-8.

Osmond, and Plainview.
The Plainview Pirate speech team hosted an open house on Tuesday, March 15 in preparation for the State Invite to be held this weekend, March 17 at Kearney High School in Kearney.
The one-day C2 competition begins at 7:30 a.m. with extemporaneous draws and first round of competition at 8:30 a.m. Finals will be held at 3:30 p.m., and results will be announced following.
Those competing for the Pirates will be:
Brittani Gutz in informative speaking,
Reagan Choat in extemporaneous speaking,
Leighton Medina in humorous prose,
Emma King in persuasive speaking.
Heather Pendergast in persuasive speaking
Lauren Jelinek in informative speaking.
Brett Norris in entertainment speaking,
Marque Albin in poetry
